The good:
Body 8/10 - waxed often and garaged, XC grille, IPD peg replicas machined face 17's wrapped in BF Goodrich tires with 95% tread left (just got these wheels in October), brand new complete headlight housings with Beamtech LED headlights (no scatter from these), LED yellow fog lights (brand new housings), full size "perfo" spare tire, also included are 3 perfo wheels and the original spare tire
Interior 8/10 - Replaced both front seats, brand new steering wheel, replaced all the dash mounts so the dashboard doesn't squeak, replaced the motors in all four door lock actuators, original Volvo floor mats, 15% tint all around, 70% tint on entire windshield- never gets hot in the car.. windshield being tinted is amazing, Blaupunkt bluetooth stereo with microphone for hands free talking comes with remote as well, remote key fob and two keys
The bad: it is rough in reverse, reverse still works it just shudders some, I do have a guy in California that has a manual swap ready to go for 900.00 shipped! Timing belt and water pump need to be changed in 5,000 miles
I have never seen a cleaner s70 t5, always getting compliments on it, I probably will regret ever selling it. Everything works perfectly, sunroof, AC is ice cold, etc...

Beautiful car! Your car is worth what ever somebody is willing to pay for it. With the work that needs to be done to it if someone offers you 4K with 310k miles on it, I'd jump at it. But, that being said you might want to invest and keep it yourself. I have a plain old '94 850 NA that I have a total of $3000 (including car) invested in it, probably not worth that much but use it as my daily driver. I love it and it's fun to work on. Good luck. Whatever decision you make is the right one.

Nada used guide gives
3200 USD average
4200 clean retail. Not too many cars meet this standard, and you can’t need any repairs at this standard either.
I didn’t adjust for 310k miles but NADA has a tool for that.

I'd love to buy that, but that's too much (in my opinion) even for a clean car, especially one with issues. Looks pretty nice overall though!

Here in NY (in my area) I think I could easily get $3,000 for it all day long.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

It's really a great looking car. Personally, I'd keep it and run her till she dies! Or if you're like me, you'll keep throwing money at your old beast. I love mine so much. Has the car been with you for a long while?
If I got a 2nd car I'd be looking more around the 3K range, and not something that needs too much work.

I would find it excruciatingly hard to part with it, even given the work it needs. That said, though, top of the work list at current mileage, would be drop the pan and replace the oil pickup o-rings. They must be on the verge of breaking down. If that happens value will drop to salvage level.

The car has a really nice body, but the usual interior issues of cracked seat leather and saggy door cards.
These cars seem really expensive in the US now. Up here with the issues listed I wouldn't pay more than $1000 CDN for a car needing that work and that mileage. Sure it is a T5.
I have bought 2 lower mileage SE model P80's (97 850 sedan and 2000 V70) and both took $2500-3000 CDN to bring up to good running condition. Both now have good homes but neither sold for more than $3000 CDN, were in excellent condition and needed zero maintenance repairs. The 850 had only 100k miles on it and the V70 165k miles.
I like these cars (sometimes) but they are expensive to do big repairs on if you don't have the skills or access to tools and equipment to do the repairs. A trans swap for an auto is about 10 hours labor for an experienced mechanic. Doing a manual swap is more.
I guess our markets are different.
If you love the car then keep it and do the repairs. Doing the repairs to sell it you may not make the money back.
Neil.
