2002 S80 - WHEEL BEARINGS OR WHAT

HAVE A REAL ANNOYING NOISE FROM THE FRONT END. I THOUGHT IT WAS TIRES, BUT AFTER REPLACING, THE NOISE ONLY WENT DOWN A LITTLE BIT. NOISE IS LIKE A DRIVING ON A ROAD PAVED WITH RIVER GRAVEL. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS A BAD WHEEL BEARING.

ANY OTHER EXPERIENCE OUT THERE?

Sounds like it. You need to replace the hub on that side most likely. Some people have reported that the hub gets loose so you might check that first and get it tightened if that's it. If not, then www.fcpgroton.com sells the hub at a reduced price compared to the dealer. Good luck!

Agree with 'MadeinJapan'., probably a wheel bearing...Had the same problem last year, would have sworn it was the right front., Wrong/. Was the left front....Hub and bearing are a unit...Expensive if the dealer does it, but certainly quiets things down...Good luck

Yep, wheel bearing was shot. Was actually able to change myself. You don't need a wheel puller to remove hub.
