June wrote: 20 Aug 2018, 21:09 For 2004 S80 30,382 cars were built. Less than 15K came to the USA and probably less than half that were T6 equipped. I couldn't find the breakdown on production numbers on the T6. Since Volvo enthusiasts seem to hate the T6 and the 2.9 equipped cars so I'm sure there are not many being saved. So I'd imagine she is getting rarer every day. June
Mike did a great job sewing up that second hole, it’s barely visible...
You mean he did a good job paying for new Blue Box seat covers! I know your wife is more understanding about seat issues on cars      June

P.S. love those wagons in the driveway. I admired a gorgeous 960 wagon on the beltway the other day. Made me want one!

Does anyone know if any records of 1998 to 2000 Volvo V70 R's were kept? I can't find any information on these cars. I am buying a 1998 V70 R that is excellent condition and the only mod is a dual exhaust IPD exhaust besides the rims it is totally stock.. The 1996 to 1998 had an option of BBS wheels and the one I am getting has them plus the original rims.

Any help would be great

thanks

Not many and even fewer left. Where I live I see more of the 04-07 V70Rs (like 3 or 4). I don't ever bump into another 98-00 V70R.

Up above Russ once tracked down stick shift Rs
There were 75 2000 S70 T-5M's imported to the US. I have one
Which probably means about 1000 Rs total per year where brought in, max.

Ill SWAG that half of them are still on the road. Typical pricing for an R with 150-200k on it is 2500-3500 USD, maybe twice what a non-R would get as a good runner.

The guys who try to get the "Mecum" type pricing thinking they have a unicorn usually stomp off our Forum embittered and angry when they can't get "What I think it is worth" as opposed to the "Cruel Market Value"

Exceptions to this rule are the true, 50k mile, unused R in clean retail condition.

I don't think the later P80 R cars were particularly rare... a family friend tried to sell his son's -- admittedly in bad shape -- and had no luck. They ended up donating it and taking the tax writeoff. I see quite a few on the roads here, all silver.
