I've owned many Volvos over the years, and normally when you apply pressure to the gas pedal, there's a small distance before the car responds, then its a smooth takeoff.
On my 2002 V70 2.4T, it feels like I have power instantly. I have to lightly touch the gas pedal or else I'm accelerating fast.
I've owned the car for three and a half years now and am the second owner. The original owner had the car serviced regularly at the dealer. Its a spare car that only gets driven once a week.
The car runs beautiful and smooth, but is there a way to back off the instant power. Would putting a pressure/vacuum gauge on it help the diagnosis?
