2005 Volvo XC90 5t
Hello everyone I was wondering if it is possible to put a 19t turbo on my 2005 xc90 5t with 120k miles with supporting mods like injectors maybe valve and spring stuff like that if it is even possible with the transmission

I have seen sport tune talk on the XC90 - you will need to have some coding done. Do some digging it is out there. Your power will have to come from the turbo - injectors would not be worth it - and valve springs and head work - that is crazy talk. Better off buying a used "hot" Volvo engine and put it in you kid hauler. The parts will eat you up in costs, not to mention the machine work. Volvos are tougher than many cars to work on because of the cam cover/head are married. Not difficult, but not the same.
Bottom line - find a similar Volvo engine that is "hot" and it should bolt in - just read up on the tune. If they can do it to an "R Design" you can do it would be my assumption. Most of the computers are the same part number, just different software. Hence the requirement of a tune.
Why one would do it to a 15 year old kid hauler I don't know, but then again my days of modding have long past. From a slow wallowing brick to a sorta slow wallowing brick it is your money and time - the XC90 is a pig. Put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig.

OP suggests it's nearly a direct swap and alluded to some tuning that might help with further performance .
Never bothered to see about an update but the person is still posting, you could always PM him if this was of interest.
