How to remove wood trim on centter console? (And tighten it up)

The wood trim on my center console of my 2000 S70 has a bunch of play under it, and moves whenever I touch it. It's not the biggest issue in the world but it has a very plasticy feel to it. I was thinking about removing it and adding some glue under it.

Any tips on removing it? I'm now armed with a trim kit:

On a sidenote I just found this Craigslist ad of black marble versions of the trim, I'm glad my car doesn't have this:

That’s not really what I meant - I was asking for pics of Yours.
I don’t understand what you mean is loose. These panels are
securely fastened with screws. Unless you have the fairly rare
real wood versions, the “wood” grain on most P80’s is part of
the underlying plastic itself. Kind of printed on at the factory.

The only other exception is the simply Awful and really tacky
stick-on kits from the aftermarket. If so, the news is not good...

Was just posting those other pics until I went to my car. Here's my interior. Very loose and squeaky to the touch. The panels on the dash around the stereo are solid though.

It is held in place with screws on the underside pointing up. You got to remove the Center Console to get to the screws.

Do some googling. There are instruction out there on how to get the Center Console out.

I get them trim pieces out of the local PnP for $7.50 each piece.

That is a special bulb that you will not find at a Auto parts store or Walmarts. Best to get it ordered and in hand before you remove the Center console.

Thanks for that. I was thinking of just wiring up an led. Which would be my first divergence from stock, which historically I've done too often, so I might try to pick one up at the dealer.

Been there on my C70.
Don't need to wire one. Just slide a 12V LED into the socket (correct polarity) then bend the leads around to secure it.
