I have a 01 Volvo v70 xc and it’s actling like it’s not getting any gas even with the pedal all the way to the floor. When it finally starts it sputters and when put in gear it jerks.

01's had problems with the throttle body. The sensor strips would wear and then the engine computer could not determine the throttle position. Might not be your problem.

What mileage on your car? Any check engine light? Any codes stored?

Do you have the Torque App and a bluetooth ODB2 reader, or Volvo DICE?

Sounds like internal fuel pump. Also like my 04 there is a tank rollover safety feature that goes bad and I cannot access the last 3 gallons of gas

If the throttle was involved, I would expect a code for it, so probably not your issue.

If the exhaust is blocked then the car won't run.

So you still have the issue but no check engine light or stored codes?
