2002 V40 Rear Wiper Misses center of sweep
The rear wiper on my 2002 V40 74k miles leaves a nearly perfect pie shaped spot in the 12:00 position of the wiper sweep in both directions. I have replaced the blade and no help. Further look at it shows that the wiper arm does not have much tension at all to hold the blade on the window. Normally, I'd just bend the arm a slight amount to get the tension, but the arm on the V40 is made out of poly/plastic. Anyone have a fix for this issue? Root cause is not enough tension, not sure how to change it.

I have a 2003 V40 that does the same thing.
There's a spring that holds down the wiper arm. I am planning to replace mine. It hasn't been a priority - I live in Southern California, so I don't get to use the wipers all that much...

Wiper arm is the culprit and needed to be replaced. Did so, fixed the problem. I'm going to look at it further as there is a contact point where plastic meets metal that I suspect wears and causes the failure. I'll report out on what I find.
