car won't start and run

I've changed the spark plugs wires and distributor rotor. my car still won't start and run. im thinking the ignition wire is bad or I've also been told that it could be the timing belt brakeing or the crank position senser.

Is your Check Engine light on?
Have you scanned for codes?
Checked fuel and spark?

Are the cams turning when trying to start the car?
Have you jiggled around the AMM connector?

the check engine light is on but it's because the previous owner changed his own oil and didn't have the tool needed to reset the check engine light after changing the oil. I haven't checked for codes nor the fuel system but I did check for spark and i got none which is why i changed the spark plugs wires and rotor for the distributor.

I don't know how to check if the cams are turning when trying to start the car nor what and where the ANN connector is.

Was it running before you changed the spark plug wires and distributor rotor?

If so, I might re-check the order of the wires and ensure good connections at the distributor.

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on? Check for fuel pressure at the rail. there is a valve at the driver's side end. unscrew the cap and press the valve for a second. If it doesn't squirt out under pressure, take the 4 torx screws out at the fusebox cover on the cowl and remove the fuel relay. Try jumping it with a big paper clip. Search here for which 2 terminals to jump as there are 4 or 5 depending on model. There is another relay that is grey right on top the radiator with a 4 wire plug that will cause this. Rap it a few times with the back end of a screwdriver and see if that helps.
