Complete hose refresh on Evita. Coolant change too. At 159,900 miles

Managed to use some 3/4 inch PEX clamps on 19mm hoses

I changed the turbo vacuum lines and did some tidying.

Had a good morning at the junkyard. Found a hood in my color with no dents at all. Also found a 12mm socket in the engine bay. Just what I needed to remove the hood. Washed the hood at the carwash on the way home and installed right away. Then I got ambitious and decided to swap my parts car taillights in. They are in such good condition all i had to do was clean them with some acetone and then spray a layer of clear uv resistant rustoleum. I don't think my lights have ever looked this good.

What year did the plastic change in the tail lights? I was told the later years had a change to a more durable plastic.

I think next I'm going to swap out the front doors and heatgun/paint the trim and bumpers.

Still looking for a way to restore the headlight reflectors.

I'm not sure. The V70 has the clear turn signals and those aren't prone to fading, but I don't know if the 855 taillights were ever updated.

I put the compression tester on the T5 and got just above 150psi (dry) on the first four cylinders and ~146psi on No. 5.

Took it for another spin and nearly froze from the AC.

That is quite possibly the spiffiest engine bay I've ever seen on a P80. Nice!

Question. When you do a hose R/R And flush replace the coolant with genuine Volvo coolant, and your new coolant looks like 25% dilution yellow coolant, what’s the next step?

Answer. Flush out the old coolant you were saving on the shelf for Neil, and flush, and replace with green Volvo new stuff

Changed valve cover gaskets on my bimmer. Also painted the covers black with VHT wrinkle plus.
