Tranny Valve Body Replacement - Urgent Question for 2002V70

In another thread you indicated that you had replaced the valve body on your tAW55-55) ransmission. Will you be so kind to -

1. Disclose the source of the parts incl. the complete part number (your post mentioned that you had paid $850?)

2. Briefly explain the procedure involved in replacing the valve body OR provide a linkage to where the procedure is documented.

Not ignoring your post...just don't have the answers.

Do you know who it was that posted before about this that you're referencing? It would help me out in trying to search it out... Would like to try to help you with your car issues.

Sorry, I didn't realize someone was asking a question until I got a p.m.

The parts (v.b. with wiring harness is one part number, and a seal kit)were bought from FCP Groton. The part number is specific to the car so I don't think it will help posting the part number for my car. I got my local Volvo dealer to price the correct parts and give me the part numbers. The installation is somewhat difficult only because the front sub-frame needs to be partially removed and the engine and trans supported. The actual install of the v.b is straight forward. Pull the pan, unbolt the valve body and wiring harness and install new one.
Complete job took me about 5 hours total.
