Guys, my spring mount/strut bearings are roached. Master cylinder started acting up a week ago and now is the time to do both.
Any experience with the IPD HD brand or the Sachs branded mounts and bearings? Rock auto has a Gabriel branded quick strut that comes with all the hardware springs installed and new struts for 140 ish each before freight. I am considering this just to save myself time and replace springs/struts with 180,000 miles.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
Front strut mounts/bearings

The aftermarket spring seats and strut mounts are notoriously bad. Sometimes they don't fail but sometimes they last 7k miles. Here's a bad experience with Gabriels https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forum ... hp?t=53566, though of course not everyone has this experience, and in fact there may have been an install error in that link, but you get the idea.
I've only used the INA strut mounts and Sachs/Boge (or Volvo) spring seats and they last a very long time, especially the mounts/bearings. The IPD HD spring seats were failing prematurely for a while, but have a good track record over the last several years.

Aftermarket spring seats fail all too often. My cousin and I just replaced his struts yesterday with some nice new Koni oranges and new spring seats and strut mounts, and one of his mounts was broken apart completely after only about 2-3 years and 30-40k miles. They were eBay mounts that we installed with new Sachs struts. Avoid those at all cost.
Unfortunately cheaper quick-struts will use these mounts, and they're not very tough.
I would recommend using a quality brand, which can be purchased from FCP Euro and possibly eEuroparts (not sure if they're operating at full scale again yet... but worth a look). I used Corteco or Sachs I believe, and INA mounts.
