Parking on the alley has its advantages, as in no close front/rear parking hits or scrapes from curb parking.

Unfortunately, vandalism can be a problem. I've been pretty lucky, though have had a couple of windshields taken out, which were fully insured.

Now, though, my dear '93 850 has a small hole in the d.s. headlight lense. The glass isn't otherwise spider webbed, but moisture will get into the bucket. I called the Safelite auto glass shop and a tech told me that epoxy might work but he couldn't guarantee that it would hold.

Has anybody tried that or another remedy?

A small cirle of heavy, clear packing
tape until you get your new lens.
Then cover them with 3M Xpel.

There is a new lens (maybe) available, shows on computer inventory but vendor not sure if it can be found. If so, $90, but it would be new. Plus shipping, ouch. I paid $90.00 for a whole 5 speed transmission for that car (okay, that was 2008, but still). Now, getting it ready for winter again; last year was great. That low first gear with good tires crawls through the snow amazingly well.

Thanks for the tape idea, done. A closer look reveals the hole might not go all the way through the glass. Just in case, the tape will seal it.

Super glue, clear nail polish, or windshield repair kit.

I believe 850 OE lenses are long on the NLA list but may be available aftermarket. Was 93/4 year different to later 95-97 lenses? If they are all the same I may have some somewhere in the garage. Not sure if they are aftermarket or OE. I pulled some a few years back knowing they were getting hard to find when I worked on an 850 for my brother. They may have some small pitting (haven't looked at them closely in a long time).

Also hearing it is getting harder to find OE lenses for P80 V/S 70's also.

Correct - it's not just an 850 lens, but a 93-94 lens.
