I'm currently driving an 09 S80 3.2 and love the car. Unfortunately I was hit in the rear and it appears, short of a miracle estimate, insurance will total the vehicle and I'm looking at around $6,500 reimbursement.
I've located 2 nice S80's close to where I live. First is an 07 V8 AWD in a mist green color for $4,900. Second is an 09 T6 AWD in the same Hurricane Gray color as my current car for $7,000. Both have 117,000 miles on them.
I've heard bad things and good things about both. Looking for buying advice from all of you that know more than I. My current S80 is my first Volvo and I have to say that I'm converted. Build quality blows away the domestics I'm used to owning.
Thanks ahead for advice and tips on what to look for...
S80 T6 or V8

The T6. Both are AWD so requires extra maintenance and matching sets of tires or big repairs result. I would expand your looking area and find a 3.2 like you are happy with. As much as I hate to say this; Volvo owners are notoriously cheap when it comes to service. It's the rare owner who really looks after one. Usually the minimum has been done and 10 years 100K ish when the first big repair is needed, so it is traded in. Definitely have a dealer inspect either of those two cars you mentioned for a little piece of mind. June
