XC90 D5

Hi can any one give some advice my XC90 has no acceleration when in gear but has acceleration in park. And also can you tell me if the gearbox has a dip stick please any help will be appreciated.

We don't have the D5 in the US, but yours might share a common transmission. What year is your XC90?

edit* If your XC has the Aisin Warner TF-80SC automatic transmission, then no, it doesn't have a dipstick. Here is a video that documents the process for that transmission:

Hi its a 2006 but I can't find any think about the gearbox I also having trouble with the acceleration it accelerates in park and neutral but not in gear I've just cleaned the ERG Sensor and all pipes that was clogged with carbon

*wait, do you mean that the engine rpm's don't rise when the car is in Drive, but that they do when it is in Park and Neutral?

Ok, you do have the (TF-80SC) Automatic transmission.

Do you have access to a VIDA/DiCE code reader?

If you haven't done, probably a good idea to cross post on here: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/ as yours is a diesel. Also, maybe someone on there has a VIDA/DiCE and could help you out with a code reading. Many Volvo codes will not illuminate the check engine light.
