I've been browsing around your site for the past couple of days now, so much information to absorb!

As you can expect, Japanese cars are 90% of what you see on the road here, but Volvos have a pretty decent presence. Since I now have one, it's normal that I notice them more often, and usually see one or two on the road whenever I drive around, from older 240's to the drop-dead sexy new S90's. I've crossed paths with perhaps 5-6 other P3 V60s and S60s too :)

Oh and you also see a lot of 740s and 940s with 1JZ or 2JZ engines swapped in them, turns out cheaper than fixing/replacing original Volvo engines, and must be a blast to drive!

Hello Volvo Community,

This spring (2020) I purchased a used 2013 XC60 with 226,000kms (140,000 miles) at auction to upgrade my wife's first car 2010 Pontiac Wave. After 10 years it was time for an adult car and this definitely drives way better and feels much safer going from FWD to AWD. I was a bit nervous buying a car at an auction but noticed that this one had 3M wrap on the whole front end and figured that a guy who does that won't neglect regular maintenance. My wife absolutely loves the car and Had an mechanical inspection done and only thing that needed to be done was wheel balancing and replace an HID bulb.

The reason for joining this forum and goal for this vehicle is to get it to 450,000kms (280,000 miles). If you have any tips on getting the most out your XC60s please let me know.

Immediate future maintenance items include:
1. Tranny fluid drain and fill
2. Change spark plugs
3. Brake Fluid Flush
4. Front struts
Anything that I'm missing?

Upgrade items:
1. Back-up Cam
2. Sound deadening the front of the car
3. IDP sway bar kit
4. Hitch
Anything that I'm missing?

Thanks
Simmieman
