Had a Volvo sunday :D

Started by lowering the front of the car 25mm, it does look way nicer that way. I definitely need stiffer springs in the rear tho.

Then I fixed the door switch I didn't do last time. You can see the switch not being pressed far enough

Treated a few rust spots on the tailgate and C pillar

After a productive morning, I decided I should remove the tow bar (it's rusted and the lock is damaged). It's an oem removable tow bar, so I'd guess it's on since the car got out of the dealership. I did put a good fight against the 22yo bolts, and of course the last 2 didn't come out
Not having enough cutting tools on hand, I had to get a few bolts back in and put the bumper back on  I'll be back with more angle grinders next week

Also found out I need new bumper brackets

They charged 1/2 hr and ‘tester’ fee - total was probably 10% of cars entire value.
But a fabulous thing to fool with when highway driving... 35.6mpg over 300 mile test drive
That MPG itself is quite an achievement

That's the way to do it.

Sounds pretty much exactly how I'm going through the S70 I bought a while back. It's a lot of work but very rewarding I find.

And you can enjoy your 850 for a looong time.

In my ‘96 850 it was plug and play. No trip to the dealer needed. Averaging between 20-22 mpg since keeping track.

Did a bit of work on the midwoofer that sits in the front door. Just replacing 5.25" oem with 5.25" infinitys. Straight swap👍

Car was prewired for the bi-fuel so nothing was in place - had to make a wiring harness and source an info switch from the US. There are no wrecks to try and find an activated cluster round these parts.

Trade off between economy and total lack of power. It’s 10valve and 140 prancing moose’s . I’d swap you for an R and 18mpg in a heartbeat...
