2005 XC70, strange surge/shudder when right turning with gas.

Apologies if this is a problem already discussed, I couldn't seem to find anything about it.

My '05 XC70 has been having trouble with a strange 'surge' when I turn right while pressing the gas, or shortly after I turn if I press the gas after coasting through the turn. It does not happen at all when I turn left, for whatever reason. By surge I mean the car shudders briefly and the RPMs jump up maybe 5% to 10% for a split second before going back to normal.

Recently it had a really slow power steering leak that seemed to correspond with the onset of the issue, which I managed to fix with just Lucas Stop Leak fluid, and for awhile I thought the surging issue was clearing up, but perhaps it was a fluke, as it's now back just about every time I turn, without much consistency in the strength of the shudder/surge and as far as I know the leak is still fixed.

Anyone have this trouble before and could maybe shed some light on it?
