The Shining 4K released today
Warner bros has released a stunning version on 4K Blue Ray mastered from the 35mm film. Also was in theaters today. I preordered mine at Best Buy and just finished watching it. Usually older movies are hit or miss quality wise in Blue Ray. This one is worth every penny if you are a Kubrick fan. I hope more of his movies are to be remastered from the 35mm film to 4K Blue Ray. Thought I'd pass it on

35mm film used was Eastman 100T 5247, which was used on other movies.
5254 100T came out in the fall of 1968, so movies shot with this film could have good results with 4k reproduction. Of course, if a film was shot on 70mm format, there would be more details when viewed via 4k
