2005 XC90 brake failure!

Post by marvelxc90 »

I'm completely new to Volvo, but I am intrigued!
Some of the features that this car has blows my mind!!

But anywho. So I naught this XC90 and it says brake failure on the dash and the odometer does not work, trip does not work, cruise control does not work, has a whole slew of lights on the dash, so of course abs and traction control does not work.

I really have no idea where to start...been reading up on it from some older posts y’all have on here and there is something called a DIM mention that is know to fail in 05 and older models... wondering if this is the root!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would like to get this vehicle back to proper operation before winter hits. :D

Install Vida 2014D_RePack and get a Dice interface. So you can read the error codes. Read them all, take notes, then clear all the codes and see what comes back.
