Removing polish buff marks on black trim

Post by martin-s60 »

My new s60 has electric buff marks all over the black plastic trim.

The marks cannot be removed with a damp cloth. Anybody have any advice on how to remove polish marks from black plastic trim (without a chemical that may fade the plastic over time).

On our '04 V70 I used Black Kiwi Shoe Dye (comes in an applicator bottle) and 2 years later the white wax marks have not resurfaced. Others swear by a product called "Forever Black."

It's funny, I was checking out the Japanese Yahoo auction right after I posted and found this: http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m47303748

Evidently even popular in Japan!
