95 Volvo 850 blower motor will not come on

95 Volvo 850 blower motor will not come on

Cannot get blower motor to work on an 850 turbo I pulled the blower and it works when hooked direct to battery power
I'm getting a 124 and a 418 code from the ECC can someone help with this?

1-2-4 Driver’s side interior temperature sensor open circuit or shorted to 12 volts.
4-1-8 No control signal to blower fan power stage.

So what does the no signal to power stage mean? No signal to the blower resistor or no signal to the blower motor?

The 1995 850 has Power stage (Power Transistor) between the blower motor not a Resistor Pack.
The Power stage is what you are incorrectly calling the blower resistor.

Look for shorts, opens in the loom between the ECC and the Power Stage. It could be the Power Stage but check the wiring first. There is a remote chance it is a defect in the ECC, considering the age of the car don't discount the ECC but check the other two things first.

Does anyone happen to know where the cabin temp sensors are located. It says in headiner above drivers and passenger seat. Is that correct. I got power to the blower motor but not getting a ground connection.

The Power Stage grounds the blower motor.

Look under the grab handles above the doors.

Ok I get it. The sensor is in the headliner. How do I get the headliner down?

Did that clear ECC-124 also?
