And getting back to the LONG BOLT -- what is the exact spec? M10x130mm ???

The long bolt part number is 982831, it is a M10x130mm

That's a decent price, though there is shipping. I think I paid close to twice that at local dealer, regretting immediately that I hadn't sourced from local hardware, etc. My local dealership charges retail for everything, crazy expensive.

THANKS GOUPIL. Also noticed nobody has mentioned the length of the SHORT screws.
4 each 988182 986504 Flange Screw
IDPA says volvo says M10x20 988182 the short ones

Might order the screws from McMaster Carr - any better sources for quality 'graded' bolts? And what grade should I get?

Unless you lose them (or one) they can be reused. They aren't on tight and come off easily, clean and use again is fine. But, if you're ordering the long ones, may as well I suppose.

Does a standard 850 exhaust have a removable end tip? Mine doesn't, and in fact after the last exhaust job, I found my bumper slightly melted. Maybe they threw away the end pipe without removing the tip piece ???

anyway, I wonder, if doing the job myself, I could just cut off the pipe to access the vertical bolt & then install a tip piece long enough to clear the bumper. How far does a correct tailpipe extend beyond the bumper?

But I can't afford to break one & not have a replacement on hand. That would put our car out of commission for days.

I was able to unhook the tailpipe from the rubber donut and move the entire unit to the side, enough to access the long bolt.

If it breaks it will be way up top of the bumper where the captive nut is. You can zip tie or even tape the bumper cover back in place while your part comes if you don’t drill out the rivers until AFTER you get the long bolts out

I would buy new ones if you have any rain in your climate. These long bolts just get the elements thrown at them , mine were less than half their birth diameter.

I think he refers to the short ones fastening the cover on, the side ones? Can't quite remember now. They are in the trunk, avoiding the elements, the 10mm ones. Anyway, no matter, replace or not, just don't lose them if reusing, which is what I did.
