Nice! I dont know what it is with amber lights but I just cant stand em. Usually replace the bulbs with chromed ones too.
Yeah, that's the next thing I'll do. It has that "egg yoke" effect with the amber bulbs!

I also need a pair for my V70R. They'll look way nicer in the jewel turn signals.

I cemented my bronze medal in the dumbass club today

Doing a front wheel bearing on the E83

I needed to press the bearinginto the hub,and didn’t have a good arbor plate or bushing setup. I measured the needed press fit at 1 7/16”, 13/8 might work, 11/2 definitely too big

Jumped in the car to go to Lowe’s to buy a socket with the right OD, but then realized my calipers were buried under toolboxes. In a dim glow of brilliance, I grabbed the old bearing and headed to Lowe’s, thinking I ll just match it up.

Well, Lowe’s had no socket close as they had dropped the large sockets.

So, there I was, thinking, let’s work the problem. How can I come up with something the same diameter as the old bearing in my hand...

...thenI realized everyone in Lowe’s was slowclapping .....

I'd say I've never done that, but I'd lying...

Pro tip: the old bearing makes a great driver for a new one!

I replaced my non-existent roof moldings with a pair that I picked up from the boneyard. Before I did that they were cleaned with alcohol and given two coats of Plasti-Dip. I am quite pleased with the result this time 👍

Not new they're Plasti-Dipped, like rubber in a spray can. Amazing stuff.
