S 80 2,5 Turbo. Reliabilitly??

I like the looks and size of the S 80 and the 2.5 T is a known good engine. Wondering how they are for reliability. It has that genuine GM Junk transmission so that worries me.

You never said which year. Some are decent (more recent ones) First year "99 was junk....up through '01's they are often plagued with electrical gremlins.

I have not heard any significant problems from about '04 up. They seem to be getting better and better!

04 and newer are fine

The S80 had mostly electrical problems in 1999 and 2000. I think that they have found almost all problems when manufacturing the year model 2005. I have one without turbo, and it has been working just perfect. During warranty time they had to change the electric looking device where you fill up the car. That is all!!!!!! I have not even changed one single light bulb. It is just working perfect. Wounderful car, it does not exist better seats in any other car.
