fault code reader?

Post by Guest »

I have a "car chip" code reader but it only gives me codes for "check engine" light. I now have the ABS light on. What can I use to read that? Obviously, money is a big factor since I could go to Volvo and have them read it for $60 or $70.
thanks

what year car is it? up to and including 1995 you don't need a reader. for 1996+ you do. Autozone/Checkers/Kragen/Pep Boys will read codes for free.
