Sunroof shattered on my S80 2.9

I woke up this morning to take my mom to work, and heard rattling noises on the roof of my S80. I thought nothing of it, as we had sleet and snow falling the night before. I opened my sunroof to notice that it was shattered, and I'm not sure how. Does anyone know where I can A) purchase sunroof glass and B) how to install it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Try www.erievovo.com Call them and don't email them...they respond much faster. If you can get the glass piece with the frame on it, we'll help you install it.

...but I'm wondering if it works with a Volvo. It says it does, but doesn't say anything about power sunroofs. I'm new to having a vehicle with a sunroof, so bare with me please!

That looks like an after- market unit which is designed to be fitted to a car that has not had a sunroof.

This is the giveaway:

Template, mounting hardware and instructions included.

You don't need a template unless you are going to cut into the roof.

I guess that's out of the question then. We'll see about calling Erie Vo-Vo and local salvageyards, and maybe they'll have something. In the other thread similar to this the poster said he found his in a junkyard. I can use some luck...

I'm checking VADIS right now to see if your car's sunroof part number matches but nothing is coming up so far.

Update: I found a parts diagram and everything is labeled except the piece of glass. However, all of the '99's and '00's match on every part number that attaches to the sunroof as well as those that surround it, so I would say it's probably a safe bet to assume that the glass is the same between '99 and '00.

Update #2: I just did a search on the Erievovo.com site and found that all '01-'06 S60 and S70 roof glass also appear so fit ALL S80's (except for the very latest year S80)...anyway, there's a button to search "all compatible" for your model year and that's what comes up. That's good news and should give you a wider selection and price.

I found a bunch of "80 SERIES" roof glasses on Erie Vo-Vo's site. I'm assuming by "80 SERIES" they mean S80. Do any of you guys know how much they charge for shipping, tax, etc.?

Not sure, but better count on $40 to 50...that would make these $320 or so.
Make sure to check out the one on eBay too...it was at least $100 less.
