Will p0337 set other codes.

Post by Emodsm »

I have a 2007, xc70. The other night the it set a p0337 and does the reduces performance. i tested the sensor and wiring and all tested good but found the bracket was cracked and possibly the sensor is not holding in the right place. If i clear the code it comes back instantly but after driving a couple miles it will also throw a p0016 and/or p0017. My thinking is if the computer doesn't know where the crank is exactly that it will also wont be sure if the cams are in the place either?

Your logic makes sense. Especially when either one of the cam sensors throw a code AFTER the crank sensor code appears. I vote for fixing the p0337 first, then see what happens with the cam sensor faults.
