Managed to get over 30mpg on the return trip from taking the boys to the Camden (New Jersey) museum on Sunday (86.5 miles)! For me, that's the longest 30+ mpg in the Silver Bullet so far.

Impressive! I've got my average MPG up to 19.0.
I used to live about 30 minutes from Camden.

That's pretty good for us when driving around locally. The kids love it when I gun it, and my littlest one calls it 'celery' (for 'acceleration'). Maybe that'll get them to eat actual vegetables someday. Ha!

Tonight, I attended a party, and at one point, one of the guests announced, 'There's a silver Volvo rolling down the hill, in case it belongs to anyone here.'

The Silver Bullet, unmoored, was in fact creeping back down the sloping residential street where I'd parked. I'm so glad it was moving ever so slowly that I easily caught up to it, unlocked it, re-parked it and curbed my wheels. I guess it's time to redo the brake cables.

Haha, yeah that's that caveat... doesn't work too well if you're standing near it while it rolls away!

Complete light overhaul! After forums from 2 months ago to today, I have finally replaced those dim factory bulbs with LED light strips (11.81" flexible, $13/20pk, eBay). The side turn signal is same on driver side.
So I have: 4 red 5050 type chip strips for the rear facing of the doors (open mode), 4 white 5050 strips for the ground facing of the doors (open mode), 2 white 3528 strips for the rear seats, 2 white 3528 strips for the driver and front passenger behind visors (see front shot), 1 Amber 3528 strip stuck to sunroof mount above shifter (Amber instead of white so I'm not blinded if needing to turn on and look around), 2 Amber 3528 strips for side turn signals (kept the fender Volvo logos). No floor or ceiling lights activate on door-open (I cut them out). Going to add: 4 white 5050 strips for driver and fr pass ceiling and floor (door-open mode), 3 white 5050 strips for trunk ceiling (open mode, once I get latch fixed), 5 white 5050 strips for inside of hood so I can see while working into the night (wired SEPARATELY to battery with switch and fuse).

The manual swap on my cousin's S70 has commenced! The transmission is almost ready to come out, hopefully we'll get this done quickly!
