There could be some seasonal effect here as well. Not as many pickers in the yard when it's cold so they may spend a little more time crushing and smelting. For the first time ever in my experience Harry's online inventory listed Volvos in row numbers that did not exist, with a lot of cleared space where those cars should have been.
'98 V70 NA FWD 5 spd, silver sand metallic (sold)
'99 V70 NA FWD Auto, dark blue (sold)
'99 S70 NA FWD Auto, black (sold and resurrected -- Don't cry for me Argentina . . . )
'07 S80 3.2 FWD Auto, Barents Blue Metallic
'06 V70 R AWD Auto, Sonic Blue Metallic (sold)
'04 XC70 Ruby Red Metallic (sold)
'95 855 auto (sold)
'86 245 manual (sold)
'05 V70 T5 M (totalled)
'06 V70 FWD Auto (totalled)
'02 Honda Insight CVT
‘04 Honda Insight CVT — “Yesterday’s car of tomorrow” (sold)

That's the first time that (as in seeing empty, non-existent rows where cars were supposed to be) has ever happened to me there.

They do list VIN numbers and color on inventory, but there are some rather impressionistic color assessments, like olive green being listed as "black."

If you are a master VIN decoder you can probably get engine spec and transmission at least, as well as probably AWD or FWD.

Albany, NY to Hazleton, PA?

The two Pick-n-Pills in Rode Island are closer to Albany then Hazleton.

Check inventory. There are P80s. I count at least 13 in RI.

Has anyone here tried the row52 concept? Looks like the idea I wrote above is in place for some yards

https://row52.com/

I’ll definitely look into these RI yards as I’m in Boston almost weekly for biz. Inthe spring time days are long enough for a couple hours yard work. I don’t see me lasting long in a yard in the summer, I melt above 80F

Row 53 never works for me unless I would be willing to do a 5 hour round trip.

For you the Cumberland, RI yard would add only 35 miles to a Boston round trip.
Cumberland, RI and Johnston, RI would add 65 miles to a round trip.

I hear you on the heat, I missed out on some good front seats for the C70 and a spare SC901 system because it was too hot.
Could not justify a 400 mile round trip to go a second time.

My Ferrets melt at 80°F ... is there a connection?
