Nice score! I always love finding like-new parts at the junkyard.

Picked up a '91 940 turbo today to serve as a daily driver while my R is down for the M66 swap. I was going to use my '93, but when this came up for sale I just couldn't pass it up.

Volvo #7 on the driveway now...

Even has the right grille :D
What is going down there? Why/how are you finding all these cool cars.. and next you're going to tell us you picked it up for like $53.
:D

More info on the 940 ? Miles, condition, etc.

 I have a sixth sense... sniffing out cheap Volvos!

Close... $400! It's pretty nice overall for the price, it drives great! Nice and tight. I just need to diagnose what sounds like a rattling heat shield and replace the drive shaft center support bearing. It could use a heater core too, the heat feels good but it smells like coolant. Coolant level hasn't gone down though, so that's a good sign. The head was redone about a year ago, then it just sat. Even found a black widow in the engine bay that I haven't been able to re-home... it runs away every time I try to pick it up on a stick and get it out of there.
My dad drove it the 30 or so minutes home, even he likes how it drives! And he was complaining when I dragged him down to look at yet another car  .
Only has 172k miles, and the odometer works!

Met a champion college athlete driving a cool 5 speed V70 and chuckled all the way home thinking she doesn’t even know what her real championship will be yet, but she most assuredly will be another.

Messed around in the cold and dark (also not feeling well myself) getting the alternator reinstalled after the hardware arrived today.

I get it together and something with the idler pulley just is not right. After putting things away for the night and thawing out a bit over dinner, I realized my mistake.

That long lower bolt threads into the idler pulley bracket...I had put a nut on it, thus causing the idler puller bracket to sit tilted.
*smacks forehead*

Not sure how I forgot that...

Now I get to undo half of my work to remove that nut.

Off topic but kinda for my volvo. I will be moving to a new house in a couple of weeks and was thinking doing a garage floor coating. Has anyone tried any of the diy kind and has long last results?

Got the S70 running today after dropping the engine in yesterday. It runs pretty well! I need to button up a few things and figure out why it's running a little rough, but other than that it sounds good. I can't tell if it's a vacuum leak or the ETM. VIDA will tell me that tomorrow!

Did a 6 hour grind around NY and MA in the magical P80 seat , feeling like a 30 year old!

A late afternoon kerfuffle on 128 was stop and go for 30 minutes, so got to exercise my idle in1st gear technique. You calculate the space you need to idle in first with no clutch and let the space open and close accordingly.

That's what I do in traffic as well
Of course there are always some annoying people that cut in front of you only to ruin your plans. Or the ones behind you getting seriously impatient.
