I’d love a D24 740! Those are cool cars.
That one is pretty rough though... definitely not a $3k car. He should have left it in NC so I could have picked it up for $300

The D24s take a lot of work to get them right if they’re neglected. The timing belts (yes, beltS), for example have to be done correctly, and it’s very easy for people to screw it up. Apparently there’s a special way the tensioner needs to be set or it’ll release and allow it to jump timing.

Ask for one picture of raw data on that car and you might feel differently on the exterior. I hate it when people grab the knob and turn the pixel gain up.

Yes, this is only 25 mins from my house.

Interesting that it doesn't have the wood grain trim... I have only seen that on non leather, non sunroof XC's.

Trim back then was optional and still is on Volvo today. For example when I ordered my 2002 S80 in 2001 I had a choice of the standard real wood or silver on the model I bought. S80 lower models came standard with plastic woodgrain with optional silver or real wood. June

Hmm... slick top XC? I'm intrigued... now I want to find one. I've only seen one or two non-leather XCs and they both had sunroofs and that beige cloth/vinyl upholstery. Actually, it may have been leather, not vinyl.

From Listing: "Gauging interest on parting out my xc. Was my daily until the angle gear went out. Turbo inline 5 runs great and auto trans shifts good. Has a new passenger driveshaft from ipd and also has a new gear position sensor . Carrier bearing failed on the original and angle gear went shortly after. 168,000 miles and clean title. Paint and body is very clean. New front tires put on. They have a trip to Florida and back on them. I just have other projects I need to get done and this one is sitting on the back burner.
