Flex bolts with Loctite maybe re-usable - pretty low torque

Flywheel bolts to crank? Hmmmm

The old bolts where already stretched like they should be. The new bolts had never been stretched. That is the difference. The + 65° is the stretch.

On the old bolts you where trying to take the stretch to like 130°. When you do that you run the risk of yielding the bolt. If you don't do the stretch you run the risk of the bolts coming loose.

Can one get away with using old bolts. Yes and many do but, it is a crapshot. When it works you save a few bucks, when you lose it is a big lost. You got to do all that work over again.

The quickest way to get a job done is do it right the first time because no job is done until it is done right.
