Found a $500.00 Mechanics special. 2004 S60R in Facebook Market. Brought it home.

Cranks no start. PO said he came out one morning and it would not start. Vida scan show a lot of CEM- no signal.

Got it loaded on the Auto hauler. Noticed the brake calipers hanging. Ask the kid what that was about. Told me he could not get the car to move so he took them off. Will be needing to replace the brake hoses.

Have no idea what somebody was thinking when they wrapped the Charged air pipe. One wants the Charged air to lose heat. That is why there is an Intercooler.

For $500 would a Carfax be part of your Due Diligence or was it obvious the car had OE paint?

I have been staying away from Carfax. Got ripped off last time I used it. Had one Carfax on my account. Ordered another one they charged me for six and deducted one for the report that was paid for long before that.

Found no evidence of a repaint. If there is any, it was done by somebody that is dam good at shooting black. The lack of badges on the trunk deck did catch my eye but it would not be the first Volvo I have come across without badges.

PS: Realized I still had some credits on Carfax. Run the report. Carfax report is clean as a whistle

Don't know how the Four-C is. It mechanics special because of the Crank no start. The rear Brake Calipers all four are just hanging there with one of the Brake Hoses broken (see above). Just got it home this afternoon.

Pegs for cars, is that some east coast lingo? Here in the Midwest pegs are for motorcycles.

Took a peek under the car the Four-C are still there.

It is looking like the car is all original except for the missing head unit. The wires, GPS and Mic from the Aftermarket head unit that was in there. Then the wrap on the Charge air pipe.
