Fuel filter location on 2011 S40

Can someone please help me? I’m trying to find out the location of the fuel filter on my wife’s 2011, S40. We are having an issue with it running rough and dying, but also with throttle surges. I’m trying to troubleshoot the cheaper items before I take it in. Thanks for any help or advice you have. Shane
