Interesting. I understand the 3rd gen was faster to react with only 15deg spin, instead of 90deg on earlier ones. There was also this long thread from Swedespeed, it starts out rather optimistic but towards the end it seems few did succeed to upgrade to a later Haldex gen - this is page 12 with some later results https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthrea ... dex/page12

XC70 got Gen 3 from 2006, not 2003, like FCP blog says.
