I wish I saved all that suspension work I did of the last week for the coming lockdown here in MA. I live just north of Boston, I'm assuming we will have something like the Bay Area lock down very soon

I sure hope not. I can deal things being dialed back a little bit, but I couldn't stand being stuck at home.

Apparently one of the Asian countries ( Singapore ? ) is simply screening people for fevers at multiple check points. Those that have them are then isolated and tested.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Some countries acted quickly enough to contain the spread. Others like the US did not and the result is that the virus will spread to a large part of the population. In Europe most expect around 60% will become infected. So long as the health system can keep up (in Italy it clearly is overwhelmed) the number of deaths can be limited. The US health system will be tested in a way not seen since the Spanish flu came through, I expect. In my native The Netherlands, as of yesterday, half of those in intensive care are younger than 40 years old.
Stay home, don't take any chances so long as there is no treatment or vaccine, if not for you then for others. Remember that the virus can survive on surfaces for extended periods of time.
