I am looking to add fog lights to my 96 850 GLT. Probably going to go with some diode dynamics SS3 fog pods (I'll have to figure out how to mount them so any advice there would also be appreciated).
I am pretty sure my 850 is pre-wired for fog lights as it has unused connectors under the bumper where everyone says the fog light connectors should be. However they don't look like the fog light connectors I have seen others use. This won't be too big of an issue as I'm planning on using aftermarket fogs but it would be nice if I could find out what connector it is to make an adapter and also make sure these are indeed fog light connectors.
Does anyone know what this connector is called and if it is indeed the fog light connector?

Is it? I was looking earlier today on my own car and found the one linked in the following thread, which seems to be the fog light connector:

There is one on each side.
@jeffsws That is what the connector looks like when it is plugged into it's dummy connector.
Alright sounds like I have indeed found the proper connector and maybe it was just changed on later models. Does anyone know if I can get a matching male end to this connector or should I just plan on cutting it off and putting a different connector style on?

Try Dave Barton website. He is the guy behind the Prancing Moose Stickers for Volvo's. He does has some Volvo connections parts. I am starting to look at re doing my fog light connections and wiring for my 850 and been looking on his site for the connections.

ALL 850s from '95(when Volvo introduced "spot" foglights with face lifted 850) to '97 have foglight connector like this.
'91-'94(including '94) had different style foglights along with whole different front end.
You will need to cut through the pattern holes into the bumper (which are visible from the inner lower side of the bumper)and get a front foglight switch, along with front foglight relay....of course you will need a pair of foglights.

Thanks @Jaydiesel I found what I was looking for.

@misha thanks, I've already gone ahead and ordered the switch, relays, and jumper.
I was planning on installing these diode dynamics fog lights and likely not drilling through the location for stock fog lights but rather mounting them in the existing "vent" slots in the bumper. I will need to figure out how to mount them there though.
