Pull a vacuum hose somewhere along the air intake pass the MAF. Use the spray tube to inject the either.valvolvo70 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 15:59 I haven't yet Rick, thank you for the reminder. No...that's SAS actuator...if the other end of that black & white one-way valve goes to it.
It should be there...read this topic:

I followed the b/w valve back and it connected to the "SAS actuator". I don't know if my 98 V70 T5 is an anomaly but there's no gray relay under the fan shroud.valvolvo70 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 18:00Ok I'll follow the b/w valve back...the google link was helpful, thank you!misha wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 17:02 No...that's SAS actuator...if the other end of that black & white one-way valve goes to it.

I would wait for '98 s,v70 owners for location of that grey relay.

There is no gray relay in a 98 or any x70 car, that stops in 97 (850) cars. Fuel injection for x70 is handled by one of the main relays.

The fuel injection relay is in the boot shaped fuse box under the hood. It is the one in the toe of the boot (2/32). The relay supplies power to the injectors via fuse 11B/2. So check fuse 11B/2. Same fuse box the small #2.

Thank you Rick/Erik, yesterday I bookmarked both those posts. Also checked the fuse and it looks good. Just cranked the engine over today and it started! I let it run for 5 minutes and noticed I'm having the same rough idle/sputter/dies/won't start issue from my other post 18+ months ago. I'm going to get a "I told you so" from abscate.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑03 Apr 2020, 11:19 The fuel injection relay is in the boot shaped fuse box under the hood. Can i get a link of that post 18+ months ago to try to get a whole picture of what is going on?
As i can see....the car starts after it sits for a while but after it runs a bit it struggle to get running.
I just re-read a 1st post on this topic....you mentioned that you replaced a bunch of parts. Are those aftermarket or oem parts...especially ECT and sensors?
When car start and run..does it run rich?
Is there a black smoke or black soot from the exhaust?
When it first starts...does it run ok before it starts to sputter or it struggles to run the whole time before it dies?
