I just ordered 10 o-rings from this Porsche and Alfa brake specialist:
https://www.pmbperformance.com/catalog/ ... 694936.htm
They are square cut EPDM o-rings. Many of the vintage Porsche and Alfa-Romeo cars came with smallish 2 piece Ate rear calipers which look very similar to the Ate rear calipers on Volvo 850's.
I have to admit that the pictures of restored Porsche calipers with original spec yellow zinc plating looked really sharp.

Fitment confirmed! These are, in fact, the real deal. PMB appears to have a well deserved sterling reputation in the vintage Porsche community.
If you're not a putzy weirdo like me, you probably don't have to worry about these, just clean them up what you have and reinstall them. However, if you pick up a deal on a used caliper and what you receive are the two separate iron pieces in good condition in a box, minus all the rubber parts and other doodads, it could be pretty useful to know where to get these o-rings.
It should also be noted that the standard hardware store o-rings are usually made from buna-n, which is not recommended for exposure to brake fluid. So at least make sure whatever o-ring you install is EPDM.
I have to admit that this little adventure started me wondering if anybody has successfully used silicone bathtub caulk in place of these o-rings.

I looked at the Ate kit and several others which all lacked the two little o-rings, so I just bought the Ate one. I guess I should have looked a little harder!
