Hey there,
I found a way to repair some image links of a post of mine that stopped working for some reason. I can't however edit my old posts. Is there a setting you admins can flick to give me the power to do it? Or can you help me if I tell you what to change??
EDIT:
Every brokem img link needs to be changed in the following way:
From http://s8.postimg.org/wi5i3icjp/IMG_0994.jpg
To http://s8.postimg.cc/wi5i3icjp/IMG_0994.jpg
".org" -> ".cc"
Here's the thread:

Yep just write back what you want to change, and what the change is.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Done. Thanks a bunch for thinking of that change, kallekula. Broken images are the worst.
[everyone:] If you'd care to switch to using the built-in image uploader when you post, I can say with 99.58% accuracy there's a 100% chance they'll exist as long as the forum exists.

kallekula, sorry, I didn't see your posts further in the thread. I'll edit them.
It's not possible to extend the edit window back to 2014. It's the forum software.
I'm hesitant to set that to 0 and thus make all posts editable (to their owners). I wish there was a per-user setting for this, but there's not, despite the considerable phpBB permissions system.

I changed all the .org to .cc. Some of them are gone.
I also changed http to https to avoid a "Non Secure Page" warning. I checked if that made a difference with the missing images, and it did not for each image.
That's going in the VRD. It's a great thread on the 5-speed. Thanks for posting it and updating it.
If you have the images that are missing, please email them to me and I'll put them in.
