I don't know that FJ and it's not the one my friend owned, but I have a cool story:

A friend and I went on a 4k mile (including driving from/to Denver) tour of Baja, MX in 1995 in his 1979 FJ. It was anything but a luxury ride... rattly and no AC, but it was utterly, dead- dependable when we were far out in nowhereland.

In this photo I'm behind the lens and Rob is standing next to his FJ, July 1995. The shot is due West, that's the Pacific Ocean, and the lump in the background is a freighter that ran aground in a storm in 1982. The location is known to American surfers as "Freighter", and it produces a nice "right" surfing wave that you can ride for a few hundred meters if the conditions are right.

We camped there for a night or two.

It's 30-60-ish miles south of Ensenada.

I've got more photos and 100x more information about that trip. We went with the idea of making an exploration CD-ROM, but we never did. We did collect a whole ton of photos, journal entries, stories, and a 5-foot long fold out skinny roadmap of Baja.
