Ahh, what a fun job!

Currently taking a break from trying to bolt the brackets to the block. What a frustrating nightmare. I get close every time but seem to be off just enough that it refuses to thread in. Considering leaving it out.

I'm 99% sure I cross threaded that bolt for the oil cooler line bracket that attaches to the oil pan. About 1/3 the way it got really hard to turn. I tried backing it out and trying again. Just gonna leave it the way it is. At some some point I plan to pull the oil pan and clean it, maybe i can run a tap through it then.

On another note i tried a different way to tighten the bolt between the oil lines and the oil thermostat. I took a flat head screwdriver and place the edge against the bolt head underneath the lines, then using the subframe as a fulcrum I pushed down and got the bolt to turn completely tightened about 1/6 turn at a time. It may not be the correct way but it works a lot better than trying to use the allen.

After intermittingly searching for about a year (the exhaust manifold on the S70 has a little crack, but it's not that loud/bad), I finally found the right exhaust manifold for my S70. Everywhere I looked (Dutch & German carparts stores), they told me this is the right manifold for my S70, but it is NOT (see this link: https://www.autodoc.nl/ernst/8121915). Even IPD and FCPeuro dont have them (which I understand because the BS5252S was not available in the USA). A couple days ago I was done with it and I decided to Google it untill I found some satifactory results and sometimes I pays off to bite into something hard untill you win. I found the right manifold! See this link: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/vo ... ld-9486055 I hope they ship it to Netherlands, because I can't find any store that can get me the right one.

Just out of curiousity: does anyone know why it's such a royal pita to get my hands on the right manifold? I have the BS5252S engine, manual transmission.

I started the dash job on Evita. Was going to do an evap but AC working great

Got dash out in 90 minutes with Abby Helping. Some cosmetic stuff and mounts to fix, dash light replacements.

Dropped the trans out of the 940 today. Can't wait to be done with this car so the buyer can come get it off my driveway!
