Now that is a good looking car !! Don't think I've ever seen a two door version before.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

I know they made a 142 don't remember a 162, but look at the tag-Zolland, a graphic designer, did some neat amazon wagon, woody stuff too!
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

It looks much flatter now that I have the seat and trim in place.
1. Pulled the carpet.
2. Took it to a car wash.
3. Hung it on the wall.
4. Soak with degreaser.
5. Power rinse with just water.
6. Put it in a tub.
7. Take home and hang to drip dry.
I have done this with floor mats that where so dirty and greasy they looked like they where beyond the point of no return. A good precentage come out looking like new.

I'll have to do that for the other side, I pressure washed this one on the driveway. I was thinking the whole time I should have brought it to the car wash so I could hang it.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑04 Jun 2020, 15:52Missed opportunity. Get some clips like they have on the wall of a wash bay. Screw them to a wall at home. Plastic wood working clamps at Walmart can do. You want the carpet turned 90° So that water will runs to the edge and drips off. I hang them in a shed on the rafters with clips wired to the rafters. The elevated heat helps them to dry faster.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑04 Jun 2020, 20:58 I'll have to do that for the other side, I pressure washed this one on the driveway. I'll have to do that. Might attach a took to a tree I have just beyond my garage so the pressure washer will reach just fine.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑04 Jun 2020, 22:15 Get some clips like they have on the wall of a wash bay. Could nail a 2X4 to the outside of the garage. Then attach the clips to the 2X4. The wall will help keep the carpet from flopping around as you work the pressure washer.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑04 Jun 2020, 22:48 I'll have to do that.
