Power steering is great to have when parallel parking

You may try to find a shorter belt from another car, and bypass the compressor too, to get enough grip on the alternator which has a heavy pulley. Not sure if the tension will be correct, perhaps just drive more gently on the gas pedal. May try to measure the length with a rope
