fuel pump job - very easy access, basic tools, a little messy due to working with fuel, can get by with lower quality parts, difficulty level 2
CV axle boot replacement - difficult access, requires heavy duty tools to break axle nut, super messy, can be frustrating, must buy quality parts, difficulty level 5
New 850. What stuff are a MUST to replace/repair if the maintenance history is unknown?

I don't think you'd have any problem with the fuel pump etc. I'd have a shop do the other two repairs, based on what erikv11 has said.
You'll have plenty of other repair / maintenance things to work on yourself.

Keep in mind, most shops will *not* buy quality parts. They make a lot more money by marking up cheap parts.

i wonder if i could take there my own parts. In any case, i know a dude who would do all of the tasks for 500€, with the difference that the parts will be picked and payed by me. For now i got no money and will have to wait. In any case, the car is fully functional. Except for the fuel pump making that rattling noise. But we all know how fully functioning cars fail and fail sometimes big time if not maintained. This is why am so shitting my pants in the thought of driving it without maintaining it first.

I guess i will leave the task for a pro. I could and i would definitely would do all the jobs myself, if i didnt want to drive the car and didnt really care if i would do anything wrong. But i bought this car to drive it and be happy about myself, so this is why it is so frightening for me to touch critical parts of it.

So if the car had been meticulously maintained you would just be on your second timing belt, but I'm thinking not, based on what your saying. I would guess it has had the belt done once and is now due for a new one. If it, or one its related components, goes it's a big deal so I would get that done asap. Then re-group

Sorry - I meant to say that you should be on your third belt, not second. I think your running on the second belt now.
