Greetings,

Just bought my first Volvo. 98 S70 GLT. Considering a double din HU. Maybe a Alpine ils-650. Question is, Crutchfield's says you have to trim the rails where the original radio was. Is that correct? Thanks.

Yes. Pop the stock HU out and you’ll see them
right at the mid point on both sides of the cavity.
'98 V70 R - Well Equipped for Life Up North... ;)
