That's about right. 1 and 2 are low. That's why I was going the head gasket route, thinking maybe a leak between them. But with the wet test raising the psi 30lbs I figure I've got bigger issues.

Just do what I did. Buy some heater hose from Advance or Autozone and attach it to the dipstick tube and route it underneath the car. I store the dipstick on the drivers side hood area. Can post a pick if you want, but it slides right in between the stuff under the hood and the LF fender.

It'll relieve all the pressure you need, and stop even the worst RMS leaks for the most part.

A qt per 3000 miles is nothing...my wife had a VW that burned a qt evert 800 or so. Nice thing is you never had to do an oil change...it changed itself. The pressure test on it was similar to yours - the right side of the motor was very weak and the left/center more normal. It wasn't a HG.

If it's not visible you're fine. It's an old car, personally I wouldn't rebuild the motor on it unless the car itself was in pristine condition.

If you're not losing any coolant, chalk it up to wear and tear on the motor and run it until it won't run any more. Just don't do what a kid did to a car I bought from him - the oil light came on and he ignored it. $250 for the car gave me a nice transmission!

I tried the hose from the dipstick with an old style pcv valve in the end. Could not believe the amount of oil that ended up under the car and the on the garage floor. So yes I'm doing the pcv upgrade tomorrow/ Monday.
The car is in as close to pristine condition as any I've ever seen. Rust free AZ car that has always been garage kept that I bought from original owner. Still had the original tool kit complete with white cloth gloves. So I do plan on keeping her. :) But I'd sure like to wait on doing a rebuild job if I can.
