Up in Toronto the lane orders were shifted by the powers that be. Instead of | fast | medium | Slow | it has now become | medium | slow | fast |.

We have classics up here like Honda Civics driving with high beams on and large suv's going way to slow in the fast lane.

Was checking my fuses and relays and figured I'd investigate why I don't have an airpump relay. I also don't seem to have an air pump based on the diagrams I've looked at. I started a thread about it but I'm wondering if it means it was deleted, or never had one..

'99+ P80s never had air pumps. The relay is still shown on the fuse box, but it was never there from the factory. VVT took place of the air pump on RN engines.

That's why the average P80 is fun, great Q-ships, just cruise (fast) and draw no attention as long as you are smooth and aware.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Waiting on parts for Earl the 1998, I tried to harvest the power steering lines and brake lines from Clarke the 1998

The PSlines beat me at the rack on the rear, the brake lines at the rear union

Both will come when I harvest the rear and rack on scrapping

added roof rails from an 850, repaired a trunk latch that would not engage.

Car wouldn't start today but I tried a bunch of thing but I ended up starting it by jiggling the key a bunch of times.

Crank no start, sometimes it would fire a couple of times then just a whirring sounds from what I assume was the starter. Checked the battery connections because my negative teminal bolt is a replacement that's not square and spins a little. Voltage at the battery 12.5. I didn't have a tire pressure gauge but I used the cap to check the fuel rail and got a spurt of gas out of it. I've been having immobilizer issues so I swapped out the junkyard unit with my old one. Pushed the MAF and throttle body wire connections in to make sure they were in. Tightened my crank position sensor (above the flywheel, if that the right name?) in, and checked that connector. Fuel line connector next to exhaust manifold tight. All my evap lines are good.

Once it ran I unplugged the MAF while idling and noticed no change in how it ran.

I had ordered a new throttle body and MAF earlier this week for other issues, so we'll see if that addresses anything.
