Good luck with your fix. I hope it stays on. If there is a clog somewhere it may push it off. Keep an eye on it. If you do have some time once it warms up some, you might consider slipping a plastic zip tie over it....a long pair of needle nose pliers or hemostats may work from the top like you used the long screw driver to pull it tight. Anyway, some peace of mind now I'm sure.

I discovered mine off and managed to slide it back on with a zip-tie around it. I think it's holding fine. Now, I looked everywhere for this clog you spaek of and came up with nothing! I've checked everything I can find as for a vacuum leak. I tore all the turbo hoses off today and cleaned them and fond nothing clogged. I do see a positive crankcase exhaust. When I remove my dipstick the smoke streams out. Where in the world could things be clogged? Is it possible that the previous owner has the vacuum lines mixed somewhere? Is there a diagram out there that makes sense? I have one and you have to be a cert Volvo Mechanic to understand it, lol. How can I find this leak that is causing my turbo to surge and pull back? By now I guess I caould have spent the cash and gone to a local macanich.......oh, that's right, there are none here that a cert to working on Volvo. Can someone help?

I answered your other post. My answer here would be the same as the other.

Thanks for the help.
I fixed the problem a month or so ago. Turned out the breather pipe into the sump was loose (thanks to Volvo for moving it in the first place, grrr), so once the inlet manifold was wipped off it was easy to acess. Im glad it tuned out to be an easy fix.
Thanks
